I am grateful to announce that this work recently won a GDUSA Award in the 62nd Design Awards for 2025!
For this project we were required to create an expressive magazine cover and spread for a pre-existing article that wasn't yet illustrated. We had to use traditional photo manipulation techniques, such as mark making, photo transfer, and collage. I chose an article online from Psychology Today and decided that that’s also the magazine I will create a cover and spread for. The article goes into the mental reasoning for why someone in the workplace could lash out and become violent. I used photo transfer techniques, fake blood, and shredded paper to create my illustration.
